Curious about Cox Wi-Fi hotspot problems
I'm a new Cox customer after more than a decade in Comcast territory. I rely heavily on the Wi-Fi hotspot network and use one or more different hotspots every day. Since moving to Cox I noticed some strange behavior at coffee shops, restaurants, bars and other places that have Cox service. If a location has their own named, public hotspot I can connect to that and get expected speed/performance. If that same location also is also advertising a CoxWiFi hotspot, I can always get connected to a strong signal, but mostly I have no internet service. In other words, I can see a CoxWiFi hotspot with a strong signal. I can connect to that hotspot, but then I have no actual internet service. This has happened to me in many locations. Again today I am at Bourbon Jacks in Chandler AZ with the same problem. I'm trying to attach an image below, captured from my screen. You'll see the CoxWiFi network, but when I try using that I get no internet access. Switching to the Bourbon Jacks network I get a Cox connection with no problems. Is this normal, expected behavior? How to Disable Cox Hotspot
I just got Panaramic WiFi and read in the instructional manual to go to myprofile and privacy settings to turn off Cox Hotspot. I go to the page and can't find where I can turn off the Cox Hotspot. I don't want to have strangers log into my home network. I work from home and my company tracks all internet traffic. can someone help me turn the hotspot off? thank you.

Hotspot Outage
I have been trying to report a Hotspot outage in my area. It has been out for about three weeks now. Where or how can I report this outage? (Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201). I have used this hotspot consistently in the past. Now when I try to connect I get (no internet connectivity). Please fix it. THANKS!

Poor performance on CoxWiFi hotspots, but local hotspot good. Why? How?
I'm a relatively new Cox internet customer. Had Comcast for 15 years before this. I work from home as a tech consultant, which means that I use WiFi hotspots at bars, restaurants and coffee shops every day. I've noticed some odd (in a bad way) behavior on the Cox hotspots. My computer will automatically log me in to any CoxWiFi hotspot that it finds. Sometimes that works great, but only when there is no obvious native (local) hotspot configured. In other words, if I'm at Joe's Pizza and they have a PizzaFi network (provided by Cox) and they also have a CoxWiFi network, my computer will automatically connect to CoxWiFi. That's what it should do, but 90% of the time I can't actually reach the internet, or if I do, the connection is terribly slow with high latency and packet loss. If I then switch to PizzaFi (probably using the same Cox modem/router) I get a fast, normal internet connection. In a few places I can reliably use either the local named WiFi or the CoxWiFi and both give consistent, reliable speeds. But that's really the exception. In most places with multiple network options I can't use the CoxWiFi because it's so unreliable, even though it offers a strong signal. I don't understand how, or why this would be happening. Does this make sense to anyone?

i work in a 11 floor glass building and i always have access to cox wifi hotspot especially since there's no data or reception in the building. for about a few months now when i try to connect it always says no internet connection. How can this be fixed? i'm located at 10001 lake forest blvd in new orleans, la

Cox Wifi Hotspot Windows 7 does not automatically redirect to the log in page.
I have a windows 10 and a windows 7 laptop. Whenever I connect to cox hotspot of cablewifi hotspot, a google chrome tab automatically redirects to the log in page. With the windows 7, that doesn't happen. When I click connect on the windows 7 laptop, it says connected, not internet. I have tried manually typing in the web address for the log in page and it still doesn't load, as it keeps saying, you are not connected to the internet. Please help. Thank you.

Anyone else fire stick being blocked by hot spot (not home wifi)
I called Cox about this situation and told me recently Cox banned all fire sticks on their hotspot, before this issue i could log in to my hotspot and use my fire stick no problem, now im getting blocked by cox most likely by my fire sticks mac address. When i mention hot spot , its not my wifi with access to router but the actual hotspot that is available all over the U.S

After outage, Cox WiFi Hotspot works on chromebook but not iPhone or Mac
Last night around midnight, the cox wifi hotspot that I use at my house (currently looking for new router) stopped worked. It started working again this afternoon but only on the two chromebooks- not on the mac or iPhone. Can anyone explain how to fix this? I've tried forgetting the network and restarting on both devices but it still doesn't work. On the MacBook it first days "wifi does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet" then later will say "Wifi has self assigned IP address 169.xxx.xxx.xx and will not be able to connect to the internet". I thought maybe I had too many devices connected so I turned off the wifi on my phone. Still doesn't work.

CoxWiFi hotspot no longer works
I have been using a CoxWiFi hotspot nearmy new job, but it has not been working as of late. It connects, but then says “No Internet”. It is nearan apartment complex at 2725 W. Wigwam, Las Vegas, NV.

I have been using the cox wifi hot spot in this area for a while but then it stopped working and when I try to fix it the page won't open for me to sign in to the hot spot.
