Cable Trespassing
Hi, There is a Cox cable improperly installed on my neighbors house, it runs across our property from the pole and is not within 15ft of an electrical box for proper grounding. Besides the safety issue here, the front half of our double is rented out and the cable looks bad, makes our place look cheap. I want it move (have been told its not a big deal) and have asked cox to do this multiple times over the last few months...Does anyone else have Cox cables trespassing across their property or improperly installed? We are planned to back charge cox the lease fee @100/ft per month.2.1KViews0likes1CommentContour TV Billing
I have been a happy Cox customer since June 2010 and that ended in June 2017. This is because I am still being billed for a Contour box I did not want and also returned the same week it was delivered to my house in May of 2017. I have contacted COX on the phone 5 different times and once in-person since June to get this issue fixed and NOTHING has been fixed or refunded even after each rep has said "Yes, we will get this corrected and refunded right away," it still does not change or update my account. Straight up lies each time. My credit card company has already refunded me for some of the months after they did a full month of investigating and resolved the transaction disputes in my favor. I should only be paying about $70 per month for the internet that I have. How do I get this TV service completely removed from my billing and refunded??? Otherwise I will continue to dispute all TV charges with my credit card company, and I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS! This is complete nonsense, business carelessness. Next escalation is to talk to the local news.1.1KViews0likes1Comment- 1.2KViews1like1Comment
Poor HD TV Reception
Why are my Cox HD Channels pixelating? The analog channels are fine, but the HD channels stutter? This is especially noticeable on channel 1010, Fox 10 HD in Scottsdale, AZ. I reset my cable box, and the same problem exists. The problem occurs on multiple TV's. The problem has occurred for approximately one week. Is cox cutting back their signal to save $$$?3.5KViews0likes2CommentsNot happy at all
I have had Cox since I have moved out of my parent's home in 2005, Tried to move but came right back. Every time I have an issue I try to chat but am always sent to the loyalty department. Chat seems to be useless if all they do is give a number to call. And Loyalty really doesn't treat you like they truly care about how long you have been there. I was told when I got my contract last year that HBO would be free the life of my 24 months but this month I have been hit with the $15.99/mo. not only that I have called to cancel several time and was told different things about the cost to cancel. One minute I am told it is $10/mo (12 months remaining = $120) for the remaining months of the contract and then the loyalty dept tells me it will be well over $200 to cancel. I called in like I usually do to see about getting another promotion so my bill doesn't jump and was told there is nothing that could be done, so pretty much pay the $200 and something to cancel plus the bill I owe, or simply shut up and deal with what I am being charged. This was by the same agent in the loyalty dept. I repeatedly stated I do not need the phone or tv, but still no help. Now All I want is the internet and phone which I found with AT&T will only be $60/mo plus tax, but through Cox it will be close to $120/mo which doesn't save me jack when I am or was paying $45 per month for tv phone and internet. TV you are paying for all commercials, have to subscribe to watch any good movies even with HBO there is nothing. I am disgusted in the service. My internet is always slow and frustrates me so much I hate getting on my computer. AT&T service was far better and I had no problems. Now my bill is $190.18 including the HBO that was suppose to be free and I am being told that what I have is the cheapest! Loyalty customer service not for the customers and I remember now why I cancelled the first time.2KViews0likes1CommentXbox One Streaming Contour
I use an Xbox One as my primary means of home entertainment and streaming. I recently downgraded my service to internet only in addition to a contour streaming service (so no TV box needed). However, the Contour App only seems available to download on a phone or tablet. While these are great options, it seems like Cox is missing it's primary mission which is to allow people to stream directly to their living room TV via gaming consoles or dedicated platforms like Apple TV or Roku. Does Cox have any plans to roll out an app that will allow customers to stream Contour to gaming devices in the near future? With so many other streaming options such as Sling or Hulu, this would be a powerful tool to retain loyal customers.17KViews0likes4CommentsCan I use my mobile devices to watch Cox TV On Demand shows?
Would like to watch Cox Cable On Demand and our Cox DVR Recordings from my Kindle HD Fire 8, Kindle HD Fire 7, and / or cell phone (LG Power, LG37G) when not at home. Is that possible? Specifically, the programs 'This Is Us' and 'This Is Us Aftershow' are of particular interest. How about other Cox Cable TV programs?
