Contour 2 - DVR Recordings Disappeared and can no longer record?
Hello, I had about 30 or 40 movies saved on my DVR. I go to turn it on for my daughter and when I hit Contour, go to saved, I no longer see the option for recordings. So weird. I also cannot record anything. When I tap the record button to record a show, nothing pops up and nothing happens. Any advice? Thanks!5.2KViews0likes9Comments
Contour DVR Series Manager
Have a show "Forensic Files" on Series Manager. Forgot about it this past weekend. Noticed that for the upcoming weekend the four new Saturday night shows - first run identified - were not "double checked" by Series Manager. Deleted FF from SM and re-entered the show. Checked again and the four new shows are in fact identified by SM and ready to record. Possibility that it did not recognize last week/two week set of FF shows. Any idea why Series Manager would not recognize/record shows clearly identified as "new" - first run?2KViews0likes2Comments
Cox remote
We have the Contour 2 voice remote with the Contour box. When looking at the guide, flipping [page up] and [page down] it seems to only flip through 3 channels at a time. Recording shows that are repeats
We just updated to the contour 2 and there appears to be a bug. We have all of our series set to record new only, however on some of its recording ones that are not new. I noticed that the ones that are working correctly are set as new and repeats. The shows that are not, the reruns address not set as repeats. It seems to would be only recordings ones marked at new but the logic seems to be, record unless marked as repeat. How can this be fixed. Having received an email from Cox about the upcoming 2017 FreeView promo I noticed this fine print on the web page: "App-based viewing limited to in-home viewing via Wi-Fi home network. Not all content may be available via app." and "On Demand requires a Cox digital receiver" As a Cox TV Premier customer there aren't that many channels I view on a regular basis which aren't already included in my current subscription, but now and then I *do* come across a title where, in addition to purchase, is available via On Demand. What I'm unclear on is, considering that up to now I rely exclusively on a Roku for streaming, whether, during this promo, I will now be able to view these shows/movies using the Contour 2 interface (clicking the "On Demand" option)?1.3KViews0likes1Comment
Considering switching from DISH to Contour - confused about something
Two questions that aren't readily apparent to me: 1) Is Contour 2 live and being distributed? (As opposed to "Contour 1"?) 2) I have three TV's, and want identical DVR on each. So do I need the Record 6 Whole Home DVR and two Contour HD Receivers, or three receivers? (Does the Record 6 act as a receiver for the TV it's on?) And one question about pricing - I can renew DISH for a two year cost of $2203.44, or sign up with Cox for $2939.52 (similar channel and hardware configs, also assuming I only need two Contour receivers). In the past I have been able to begin watching a show on one TV then move to another location and complete watching the show from the other TV by selecting "resume" on the recording. Lately this feature is seldom available and the only way I can NOW move from living room to bed room (for example) to finish watching a baseball game is to make a note of where the game is at time wize then fast forward to that point to continue watching.
