They said that we can not, they said we had to have and there is no way to cancel it. We stream Roku and have WIFI for our laptop. Re: Customer Service lied and to did the tech Yes, it had both coaxial cable and connected to a phone jack. We were told we couldn't get away from having a land line. We just never got an actual home phone to use, because we have cell phones. When you say "how many pieces of equipment do you have in your house?" I do not know if you are referring Cox equipment or the the equipment that we own. So I will answer itin many ways as I can to be sure I cover all bases. We only have one piece of Cox equipment that was just installed they day before yesterday. We also have a Netgear router, now sitting in a cabinet. We haven't been pay a rental fee?? That is good to know! Thank you, Bruce! Cox's equipment is antiquated. Why haven't they updated to fiber optics? Is it because it will cost more money than it's worth?
