When I go into my settings and try to disable things and click "Save", nothing happens. It seems that all my settings have been reset and I am unable to change them. I have tried three different browsers, all unable to save changes. How do I get this fixed???? JohnD Re: Constant requests to reset my password bearone2, I do have multiple devices. The message I am receiving refers to my primary account as the issue. I have that set up on only one device. My secondary accounts are set up on other devices. I wish Cox could share with me exactly they found and supposedly corrected. JohnD Re: Constant requests to reset my password Kevin, I do not have malware. JohnD Constant requests to reset my password For the past two months I have been getting email requests from Cox to reset my password due to "suspicious activity detected on my account". Lately they have been coming about every two weeks. I finally was able to get this problem elevated to the Cox Email Support Team and a ticket# (CUI000008903059) assigned. They sent me an email yesterday indicating that the problem was fixed. Hardly an hour went by when I received another reset my password email. There is no way to reply to the Email Support Team. What do I have to do to get this resolved? JohnD Re: Getting "suspicious activity" message again from Cox Jonathan, That link is invalid. JohnD Re: Getting "suspicious activity" message again from Cox No. When I selected the phone link for the email issue, It sent me direct to a tech person. Later on in the evening access to my primary account was disabled and I had to get a temp password from a tech person to get back in. Unfortunately I did not properly read the email which said I would lose access after 24 hours. Since I am not the only one, this must be something Cox was doing en mass once a year or so customer-wide. Apparently the Tech people were not even aware of it. I still would like to know what the "suspicious activity" is so I can avoid it if possible. I can flip between the multiple accounts I have. I don't know if that has an effect on it or not. I only use the primary account for communications to and from Cox, not to anyone else, so it is picking up on something I am doing. I only use webmail to go in and add filters to allow email that Cox is blocking in error or to add SPAM blocking filters that Cox is missing. JohnD Getting "suspicious activity" message again from Cox As what happened about a year ago. I again received the "We've detected suspicious activity on your Cox.net email account" message and said I should reset my password. When I called Cox, there was a special link in the phone menu to handle this message so I am not the only one getting this. It appears that this message is going out in error which is what happened a year ago. Can someone from Cox confirm this? JohnD COX EAS code Interrupts but does not display alert I posted this before but did not realize the code that was displaying on the box. Every once in a while in the wee hours of the morning the show I am watching is interrupted. A code "EAS" is displayed on the box and eventually a screen pops up saying "For support or to activate services, call" and it gives numbers for residential customers and another for business. This lasts maybe thirty seconds to a minute and wipes out whatever show I am watching. It does not matter what channel I am watching at the time. Is this an emergency broadcast attempting to display but for some reason it is not working? JohnD Re: Cox Ad or Announcement Breaking Into Programs I have submitted an e-mail with requested info to cox.help@cox.com. Thanks, JohnD Cox Ad or Announcement Breaking Into Programs For the last several weeks, shows I have been watching have been interrupted by a Cox ad or announcement basically saying "For support or to activate services, call" and it gives numbers for residential customers and another for business. This lasts maybe thirty seconds to a minute and wipes out whatever show I am watching. It does not matter what channel I am watching at the time, it can happen anywhere. How can this be stopped!!! Thanks, JohnD
