It appears all the non local channels in the Hampton Roads area have been set to DRM today. Can someone explain why? I'm assuming it has to do with the change to mp4 but this should not effect the DRM settings. Apparently it was a problem in other areas and Cox has corrected it. Can someone at Cox please get it fixed?

Can confirm this issue has happened to me in Hampton Roads too. Using an HDHomeRun Prime.
Hi Ben,
So to answer the question yes I can see channel 1987 but it only plays directly from the HDHomeRun App and nothing else that utilizes the HDHomeRun box. Prior to the change made approximately 12 days ago everything worked like it should with the appropriate restrictions on premium channels. The change made caused all channels except locals to be set to DRM enabled. This basically breaks all recording functions of the cablecard including Plex integration. See the below screenshots for what MT671, myself, and others are experiencing.

Crystal , we are discussing a technical aspect directly related to cable TV and cablecard technology. I have spent hours on end on the phone with tech support trying to get this problem resolved and had a tech to the house and still the problem persists. I have also twice been told an engineer from the back office would call me and twice that has not happened.
I called tech support one last time today hoping to get an answer why an engineer has not called. I spoke with "Arthur", who claimed to be a supervisor. I was trying to explain the problem to him that the issue is a Digital Rights Management (DRM) setting problem which needs to be addressed by the back office and set to "copy freely". Instead of actually trying to help with the problem "Arthur" decided to argue with me and tell me the system doesn't work that way. He's obviously not familiar with cable card and DRM technology.
All I want at this point is someone from Cox to tell me they will or will not address the problem. While I'd prefer to stay with Cox, if it can't be resolved I will switch to Version which does support cablecards.
One more try to get this problem fixed since Cox has been radio silent...
The problem has been fixed in other areas so I'm a bit confused why the Hampton Roads area can't or won't fix this. It all comes down to correcting the DRM CCI bit settings on the back end and setting the bit to "Copy freely". That's all there is to it. It sounds simple but I guess it's not...

Hopefully this will be fixed before next friday when verizon shows up to install Fios and I cancel Cox.
I wouldn’t say all areas, are fixed, but I’m not currently home to check
