I got a message 75% of data has been used (1750 GB Total) and we still had 10 days left in our billing cycle. Kids and wife were sad to here it but Wifi getting turned off for a couple of days.I turned it off for 36 hours. I check data usage on the site and it says I used a combined 97 GB of data on both those days. Is Cox scamming us to upgrade? How is that possible? On a "normal" day I use about 40 GB.
If WiFi is off, I think we can rule out hackers. What are some of the other "numerous factors" to impact data usage?
What model router do you have? Maybe it has a bandwidth tracker?
