Is it better to use your own router and not pay the monthly rent? If so, what are some good replacements to the panoramic WiFi gateway?
IMO it's better to buy your own modem and router. As for which ones, what plan do you have and what is your price point?
More about your modem, do you have Cox phone service? If so you can get a stand alone modem(eMTA) for free lease. Also do you have a wireless 4K TV box? If so I think you need to lease the Panoramic gateway for it to work.
