I have a Motorola branded SBG6580 Modem/Router that I've been using with my Cox internet for several years without any issues. It currently has firmware version SBG6580-220.127.116.11-GA-02-141-NOSH
According to Cox the newer firmware version is SBG6580-18.104.22.168-GA-00-505-NOSH and that this is updated automatically. I tried to have Cox update the firmware but to no avail. What else can be done?
...and we've been saying for a long time to provide a reference. It's not we don't believe you but sometime you're...well, never mind.
i've had issues in the past that weren't resolved with 1) powering unit down, 2)reset from calling 623-594-1000 but taken care of with signal sent by cs rep.
