why isn't the record working on Contour DVR?

Earlier today I had the same LA/PEG on the contour TV guide. That has now been fixed but when I try to hit record for a show in the future it is telling me that a channel subscription is required to record channel. I haven't changed anything in my plan, so why isn't the record working?

  • Hi JMS, I know how frustrated I get when my DVR doesn't work as it should, and I apologize for the issue you're experiencing. The suggestion by PJS2 is the best place to start when experiencing issues with your cable box. Unplug the power from the box for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Give it 10 minutes or so to reboot. Then try to schedule a new recording. If you continue to have difficulties, please email my team at cox.help@cox.com. We'll get this resolved for you! -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator

You need to unplug the box, wait 30 seconds, plug back in. It needs to reset. Worked for me when I had the same problem. Good luc,k!

Unplugging didn't work on mine. I'm in South Central Kansas. All of my scheduled recordings for local channels have disappeared from the scheduled list and I can't record anything on any local channel even though I've tried every possible way.

Yet the account page on the Cox website when I log in says "Your Network looks good". Thanks for nothing.
