I would call the Cox store and see what they have before unplugging everything and making a trip. I'd also ask if you could get a new one, not refurbished. Probably not but it's worth asking.
I haven't switched mine out but I plan to when I've watched most of what I want that's recorded.
It would be great if I could get a new one. The one store I went to said that is all they have refurbished. There is a few more stores not to far away. I will call them to see what they have first. Yeah, I watch all the shows that I have recorded before I turned in my last two boxes. It tough when you have about 50 shows recorded and still need to record everyday. I can't keep having my shows slowly disappear. I can't keep changing boxes either. For what we pay and use their box we shouldn't have this problem. I did read on their site you could buy your own box. Wonder if that might work?
