"Picture Freezes"

Ever since "upgrading" to Contour2 a long time ago, my cable picture regularly freezes, requiring a restart or power cycle to return to normal.

Yesterday I searched the forum for "picture freezes" and found numerous customers complaining about the same issue, however none of the threads included any solution from Cox or anyone else.
Most of the entries are old and have been frozen.


What's the latest with this situation? Is there a solution, besides quitting Cox?

  • I am seeing some timeout errors on your cable receiver. If you have already checked the cable connection on both ends to make sure it is tight and bypassed any possible splitters, we will likely need to have a technician out to investigate further.
