On Demand Not Available

9/29/2018 12:45 Central Time, Louisiana

Since very early this morning I have been unable to access anything ON Demand (TV, Movies, Premiums).

When trying to access shows the message come up "Currently Unavailable...Please check back later."

When I call or chat to get assistance or information I am told that "no outage appears on their system"...several reports have been received...we need to schedule a service call to check your equipment...check the Cox web page for should be fixed with the next 2 to 3 hours...or, keep checking On Demand to see if it is fixed.

It has been now been 7.5 hours and Cox cannot provide me any information as to when On Demand channels access will be restored.

It is hard for me to understand why Cox cannot treat its customers better or at least appear to value their customers time.

  • Hi Ignored Unicorn, I'm sorry that this has been so frustrating today! The issue impacting Video On Demand was resolved around 3:30pm this afternoon. If you are still unable to access VOD content, please unplug the power from each of your cable boxes for 2 minutes, and then plug back in. Allow your cable boxes to complete the reboot cycle, and then try to again to access titles from the VOD library. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator
