box not recording

We have reset our cable box multiple times and it hasn't helped.  It won't record anything.  It says there are no recording set but we had many things scheduled. We go to the guide and try to record but it won't let us record anything now.  Any secrets to fix this or do we just go get a new box?

    same here.  system refresh and restarting the box does not allow us to record.  This has been happening since yesterday.

      Recent posts indicated a software update is required for Contour 2 cable boxes in order to correct an issue with being unable to record.
