Good analogy!  Cox could rummage through your metadata to investigate...but they won't.  Do you rent the Panoramic?  If so, replace it with a router equipped with Data Monitoring.

    No, no Panoramic. It's a Arris SURFboard SB619o that I bought upon COX's recommendation. I've had it in use since Feb 2017 and have been using it problem-free since then. No equipment change on my end has happened since three months ago when I added a MacBook Pro.

      Oops, just realized that I didn't answer your real question, Bill. The Arris modem has no monitoring capability, nor does the Apple Time Capsule (my separate router). I may well consider a change.
