Thunderbird incoming email not being delivered. Sometime between yesterday and this afternoon Thunderbird stopped receiving messages. We made NO setting changes.  The alert received from Thunderbird is "mail server pop.cox.net responded: no domain specified or invalid domain specified."  We're at a loss.  We've verified the setting with other devices and triple checked the password and user id. All seems in order.  What to do?  All help appreciated.

I get a message that says:  Sending of password for user did not succeed. Mail server pop.cox.net responded: Account is temporarily unavailable.

Been out since this 1:00 this morning.  Going on 21 hours now

Also not working on my iPhone. I deleted the account, and tried to recreate, but no long had the option of setting up a POP account (which I prefer on my phone). Defaults to IMAP and works fine, but POP - not so much.

      Hi Tsw630,

Many mail clients are no longer allowing POP when IMAP is available. There may be an alternative mail app still offering POP.

So I found a tech that could solve the problem for me. Rather than let cox decide I needed an IMAP account, I was told to intentionally misspell the domain (ccox.net).  When it couldn't resolve the account, I was FINALLY given the choice of setting up POP or IMAP.  Once I selected POP, I was off to the races and things set up fine. I HATE when people/businesses assume they know what I want.
