slow speeds since Dec.

Has anyone noticed slower internet speeds since Dec.? There was an outage in Dec. in California and since that time every other day or so my internet speed will drop considerable. Of course Cox see no problems and thinks it my modem ( surprise lol). 

I get the modem run around every year ( these outages always happen around Dec. ) and eventually Cox finds the problem on their end and service is restored to normal.

    I have heard a few complaints from CA recently but CA is huge though, so they might not be relevant. Is it southern CA? If so, see here, or is that you? So far now one has posted any data on the nature of the problem, like if it's signal related, congestion related, or something else like bad routing.

    If you want to troubleshoot with the userbase here and not Cox, start with telling us something about your network and the problem. What model modem and router? If applicable, have you tried connecting direct to the modem? Does it effect both download and upload? What does a speed test show? Do you see packet loss or latency issues?
