Recent Packet loss CT jan/feb '05

Anyone in the Hartford, CT area experiencing new packet loss in the last several weeks?  I've gone from consistent 2500Mbps/100Mbps to 1700Mbps/2Mbps, yes 2Mbps... reset all hardware multiple times.  The first time it occurred there was a known Cox outage, but I don't see one listed today 2/5/2025 and there's no easy way to report one.

I assume your not using wifi if getting 2Gbps+ speeds. What model modem and router/other do you have? Does the problem go away if you connect direct to the modem? Can you post your modem's signal levels? If a stand alone modem, you can access them at 192.168.100.1. I can give specifics once I know what kind of modem you have. Last, do you know of anyone else in your area having the same issue?

First thing I notice is your downstream power levels are a bit on the high side. Spec is -15 to +15dB but optimal is -5 to +5dB. Are you going through a amp? Next thing I see, or rather what I don't see, is the OFDMA channel in the upstream channel data. Does it show in another part of the diagnostics maybe? That is important because it is needed for the higher 100Mbps upload. Next, I notice 4 T3 time-out errors over the last few days. That is typical of a intermittent ingress issue with the upstream signal. Last, the Event type code 5/24 is the recovery of a QAM/OFDM channel. What I don't see is the usually matching code 2/25 when the channels fail to begin with. See here for more info.

When was the last time you had a technician out? Have you ruled out everything on your side past the demarc(where coaxial connects to your electrical ground)?

Nah wifi maxes at about 1500. Surfboard s33. The issue doesn't go away via reset, direct connection or changes in dns servers.  It self-corrected overnight and has worked without issue for a week, now almost a week to the day and time it's back. I wonder if they have a maintenance window at 4pm on thursdays?   Here's some channel data and error log.  Thanks in advance
