MODEM shows chinese IP, not number provided by COX

i live in New Orleans, not Hong Kong. under the basic page of my motorola 8600, the address that is "issued by provider" is IP= 220.168.232.105 (last week), 220.232.168.105 (current) as the mod...

Hi AAstevens, the IP address of your modem begins with 10.xxx.xx.xx. To locate your IP address, use the website Bruce recommended, or open a Command Prompt window on your PC, type in IPCONFIG, and press Enter. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator

ipconfig will display the private IP address assigned by your router...among other local things.
