Lots of internet problems being posted

It weird that suddenly there's been a flurry of posts that identify internet dropout during busy times (mid-day).  It's probably a networks bandwidth issue that Cox is 'working' on. In my case, during the past two weeks I have numerous drop-outs in weekday afternoons.  Today (Sunday), the dropouts started in the evening.  During the connect interval between dropouts my download speed was 1-3 GBPS while the upload speed was 12 GBPS.  COX - Please tell us what is going on!!!!

Having the same issue. Just set up cox internet in my new home a few days ago, all of a sudden my internet starts cutting out this evening. It’s consistently showing a flashing green light. I guess that’s a “sync” problem. I don’t even know what that means lol

I am located in the Lago Mar section of Virginia Beach and our neighborhood has been having ongoing issues with internet speed and complete loss for quite a while now.

    • So, I just dropped my internet speed down from the 1gig rate that I've been paying for and have never received, and my speed went up from 30.Mbps to 119.9Mbps. Although still not the speed I'm paying for hopefully it will be more reliable. I have had major issues for the last several months with loss of internet, my internet tv services and the loss of my security devices that rely on the internet. It has just been recent that your site recognizes a problem. but it has existed for some time now. That is why I lowered the internet service because I have not been getting what I've been paying for. And yes I am an unhappy customer. But what really gets me is the advertising to buy even higher speeds, 2 gigs, when the system is so unreliable and only provides a small fraction of that speed and sometimes not at all.

Same!! It happened twice last week (10 am - 12:30, and 3:20 pm - 6:26 pm), and now it happens again in the night, and they need above 3 hrs to fix it (5:30 pm - 8:45 pm). I really want to say R U GUYS SERIOUS????
I asked customer service, and the only solution he offered me was to use Cox public internet. Doesn’t it sound interesting? If ur public internet is good enough to let me do my work, then what is the point I paying you 74.99 per month? Do u still think ur service is worth that price right now?

I’ve been a customer of for Cox almost 9 years, and I’m rly thinking of changing to another company.
