Your modem levels are outside of our preferred specifications, meaning, I'm seeing signal issues. Please make sure all connections in the home are secured tightly and free of damage. -Kevin

Kevin why are you guys selling gigablast packages still when your network cant even handle the packages you have already sold?

I can assure you, I am following all of the recommended procedures. I tested the speed on my phone and the highest that device reached was 13mbps down. For my computer which is about 6 feet away from the modem, clear of obstacles, the highest I've seen is 28mbps down. Can I replace the router and see if that is the issue?

I just recently had Gigablast installed and I am having this exact issue as well. I am not reaching speed any where close to those advertised for Gigablast. Had a tech out yesterday who pretty much told me everything looked fine on his end and it was simply the amount of people using the Network causing the speeds to slow. I am beyond frustrated as I upgraded to improve the speed and it seems to have made them worse.I have done all the proper troubleshooting suggestions as well , multiple times, to no avail.
- KevinM25 years agoFormer ModeratorHi James, your modem is reporting signal issues at this time, which may be the reason for the slow speeds. Do you have any splitters or amplifiers in the home? Can you please also make sure the coaxial cable is not damaged, bent, or loose. I am not detecting any outages or known issues in your area at this time, and your modem is not reporting any packet loss. -Kevin M. Cox Support Forum Moderator
