Is this spam? I have gotten several times.

Today is the final day of your agreement to the New Universal Terms of Service. Due to you're non responsive to this notice since 156 days ago the New Universal Terms of Service was introduced. We have flagged your account for Deactivation effective in 24 hours of your receipt of this notice.

 

What does this mean? It means all messages currently in your Cox email account folders will be permanently deleted in 24 hours of receipt of this message and your Cox email service deleted. Please note, once email service are permanently deleted, content cannot be recovered.

 

If you wish to save you're Cox email service. We recommend you visit below bar click to sign in and your Cox email service will automatically be linked to the New Universal Terms of Service thereby saving it from deactivation.

  • Hi Stewart, this is spam. You can tell without even clicking on the hotlink in the email. Hover your mouse cursor over the "New Universal Terms of Service Activation" hotlink. The web address will display in the bottom left corner of your screen. Links in emails from Cox will almost always point to Cox.com websites. (For example: www.cox.com/.../customer-service-agreement.html.) This hotlink is pointing to madaroprod.com, and a big red warning displays when you try to open the page.
