is there a required modem on gigablast?
i have my own docsis 3.1 modem and i try to upgrade it to gigablast but the rep said i need to have a cox modem

You need a Cox certified modem...not a Cox modem.
- It looks like you have access to fiber at your home and we would need to install equipment specific for that. That is likely what the representative meant by "Cox modem".
