Is pop.cox.net out?
I'm having issues too
There is a notice on my account page that states that Cox is performing maintenance on the email platform from midnight 'til 7:00 AM ET on the 14th. However it is now 3 1/2 hours past that and still no email. Cmon Cox!
ping pop.cox.net is timing out.
It appears to be down. I get the following error: Cox [0: POP3] ['pop.cox.net' (995) SSL Temporary authentication failure.
Has Cox posted anything on the FaceSpace or Twittster?
The Customer service says "thats due to the maintenance, the backend team is working to have it fixed".
Yes I tried to ping pop.cox.net and also the east and west servers pop.east.cox.net and they all fail. Support says there are no outages and wanted to walk through basic email troubleshooting.
As agent Maxwell Smart would have said - that old wild goose chase trick.
Just got this note from Customer Service - "please allow it another 1-2 hours to be fixed".
Don't you know: Any outage is always our fault.
Not to worry. As Jerome Powell would have sadi - it is a transitory issue.
I am still having intermittent trouble accessing email with a client application. Is this something anyone else is having?
E-mail still down at 12:23PM here in RI. Was supposed to be back up at 7:00AM. Oh well.
My first spam from Cox today! Mine now works.
I did a support chat and it IS down and they are working on it.
Apparently he server is down. Interesting how the software on my computer prompts to mess around with passwords and such.
Any update on this email outage? It's been all day and still not resolved!!
