Internet a joke

My internet is consistently going out.  Sometimes a few minutes, sometimes longer.  I use smarthelp, I call customer service, they say a reset might help.  This is not an in house issue, it happens to at least 2 of my neighbors.  From what I read on Facebook and this site we are not alone.  Why would I ever consider upgrading or using your supposedly fantastic mobile service, when the internet I receive is so poor?

  • Hi, Susan. I'm sorry for the internet service issues you're experiencing. I want to help. Please email us the physical address and any other pertinent information to Cox.Help@cox.com with your name and a copy of this forum message. I am glad to assist you.

If your sure it's a area issue, contact Cox to schedule a technician. If/when they escalate the issue, be sure to get a ticket number for follow up.

Cox should cover everything before the demarc. So if the problem is outage related, there should be no charge. They may warn you of a charge if the rep scheduling the appointment doesn't know what the issue is, but even if they do charge, as long as the technician notates on the account what the issue was, you should be able to get billing to reverse the charge.
