I just installed a Panoramic. It is supposed to be duel band but only my 2.4 is showing up. How/where do i find the 5.0 to assign it a ssid and password? online chat was no help, even though i was on my connected via ethernet desktop, they could not find me when I was on "my acct" within cox.com. I've trashed a nighthawk for this thing because my nighthawk kept dropping the 2.4 daily and the 5.0 at times I'm ready to throw a heater into my bath water.... please help. Most all of my wireless' are connected but OOMA? <<< connected as before on a netgear bridge is not working :( I fear as to what more I'm going to find. Any help on finding my 5.0 ghz band, I'd appreciate it!
Thanks Chris! Not sure if I like that, I prefer to do some of my own settings and finding this puzzeling - trusting 'automatic'.
My ooma telo is buzzing, cracking and making horrible noises - now trying to find out if this panoramic is compatible :( The telo is connected thru a netgear bridge as it was with my nighthawk modem/router with no issues.
This simple modem/router is giving me a headache. I have 28 more days to get it figured out.
@Roxbits, we apologize for the headache, and we we recommend downloading the free Panoramic WiFi app (if you haven't already done so). Here is some information about the app, as well as the benefits of band steering:
Tap on the network in the "Overview" section -> Scroll down to "More Options" and tap on "Advanced Settings" -> Tap on "2.4 and 5 GHz WiFi." From here, you can set different channels. To Edit the username/password and enable band steering:
Tap on the network in the "Overview" section -> On the top-right corner, tap on the "Pencil" icon. -Kevin M. Cox Support Forum Moderator
