Help - Cox Has me Pegged as a Spammer ?

I'm from the U.S. but am currently in Germany on a 6-month assignment.  I'm trying to send weekly email updates to my family group (rather large group, about 30) but when I try I get this error message;

CXSMTP There was a violation of SMTP protocol. Your email wasn't delivered because Cox was unable to verify that it came from a legitimate email sender.

So apparently Cox thinks I'm a spammer?  How do I fix this?  I need to do it by email or over the net cause I don't have easy access to make a long phone call.  Thanks,

Buddy Hall

  • @buddy hall There is an added layer of security when accessing email outside of the U.S. Try what WiderMouthOpen mentioned and if still unable to send mail, we will likely need to put in a ticket to white list your email address. If this is the case and you happen to have an alternate email address,you may email our team at cox.help@cox.com and we can put in a ticket for you. - Brian
