Frequent internet disconnects & errors

Hi all,

Within the last couple of weeks I've noticed intermittent internet disconnects that have ramped up in frequency. I've checked most everything I can think of from my end and have replaced near every piece of equipment I've got (which I've been planning on doing anyway) and have had no luck in resolving the issue.

I'm currently using a CM700 modem and have been getting the below errors which become more frequent when a device streams video and will cause interruptions on other devices.

I've also got the down/up stream channels below, and have noticed that some of the channels have a high amount of UnCorrectables

I'd appreciate any ideas or advice, I'm willing to try almost anything, as I'd like to not have to call for a tech to come out if I can avoid it.

Thank you

You are going to need a tech out. Call tech support, and request a tc. While it sounds like you have done everything, you MAY want to consider getting Cox Complete Care, to ensure that it's not some kind of fitting or something inside the home, and save you a 75$ service charge.

I appreciate the info! I believe I will reach out to the building manager for my apt to see if they can test the connections first and determine if their is break or damage to the cables in the wall before calling out a tech.

      Thank you

I apologize for the multiple posts, two of them were flagged for spam/abuse and didn't believe they would be placed back into the forum.

  • This definitely sounds like something a technician may need to come to the home and investigate, especially since it appears that 4 of the downstream channels are not connecting. Be sure that all connectors are tight on the coaxial cable ends and bypass any possible splitters if you can. If you have and there is no difference, we can help set up a service call for you. Email our team at cox.help@cox.com with your home address and reference this thread. Thanks.
