Comcast has extended their Data Cap Suspension. Will Cox follow suit? and will they in a timely manner? Tune back in at the last minute to find out!
- JonathanJ5 years agoFormer ModeratorBeginning March 16, 2020, through May 15, 2020 data overage charges will be paused. Customers with Unlimited or 500GB data add-on plans will receive credits for their add-on plan for two bills. During this time we have suspended sales of our data plans.

Yes, we already know. But the questions remains

Yes, we know. We are all wondering if Cox will extend it like other ISP's are doing. and Cox's implementation is a ** way. Most people's billing cycles do not fall on May 15, so if those of us are over the limit come May 16, we are then going to be charged for those overages. You should have just credited all accounts 2 months of unlimited data instead.

Yes, that's the point. Ridiculous implementation. Seems to be like a SCAM or a fraud to cheat customers despite the pandemic age.
Cox have announced "yes, we are following FCC Keep Americans Connected, we are waiving 60 days of data usage" but the implementation is not clear. And I'm asking for one clarification using this forum, Reedit Cox forum and also the official customer care service but without a satisfactory response. Basically, the response is "I don't know what will happen on May 16th.".
Shameful.
