Cox Webmail marks non-SPAM emails as SPAM

I have clicked the "thumb up" on spam emails but if the person replies back it still goes to spam so I give up on that. The lines thru the links just started I guess in last 2 weeks. None of the spam emails had them before. I also click on the button Show Images (I think that's what it says). Lines are still there. If they send the email to spam then let me decide if I want to click the links. I just don't understand why all this is happening. A well known and I assume knowledgeable company like Cox shouldn't have these problems. I have yahoo emails too and don't have any of these problems there.
clicking the thumb up moves it to the inbox and I think the lines disappear? This is also new to me in the last couple of weeks. Something else done with no explanation.
