Cable Drop Install

So we were supposed to get internet installed on Sunday however, the tech informed me that a cable would need to be buried and he would have to schedule a team to come do this and it should be done by Wednesday or sooner. I have tried calling and all they tell me is it takes a few weeks! So instead of a few days it’s now a few weeks? My wife is work and home and we need internet as soon as possible in order for her to start working again. Any ideas how long this is going to take or who I need to talk to to get this done faster.
