Arris SBG10 Surfboard fails self-activation by Cox

Can't get Cox's system to validate my Arris SBG10 modem/router combo unit.  Called Tech support and they're sending a Tech out on 9/29.

I'll reply to this note if the Tech can get it resolved.  Another strange thing after the failure message, the button to see which modems are supported directs to a blank page with just "2020" typed in the far left corner.  I'm suspecting a fail on Cox's part with this problem.  

The SBG10 IS on the approved list.
