Cox charging way more than everyone else, failing to provide reliable service
My third time coming here, I've done anything and everything to try and make my upload speed reliable.. but Cox is really hindering my ability to work by streaming to twitch with constantly giving me 2mb upload speeds when I'm paying now for gigabit internet. I've swapped to their modem/router panoramic stuff, i've purchased the highest speeds I can. For like a week they said they were working on an issue that was causing us not to get constant service, and it seems every few days they just yoink my upload rate and it goes from 16-20mb up to 2-4mb up. I can't stream with that. I am literally better off paying half the price for a different company that can give me a reliable 10mb up than having to constantly check my internets upload speeds. Of course this is my third time here, complaining about the same thing, again, paying them more money in hopes that the network just starts working again so I can continue working and building my channel.flambeau13 minutes agoNew Contributor III1View0likes0CommentsCox System Updates Affecting DVR Recording
Apparently, Cox has been doing some kind of update and it is affecting DVR and Cloud recordings system wide. The effect is that my DVR will not schedule a future record of a program and the past scheduled recordings are not happening. When do you think this problem will be resolved? Can this company go a week without some update or issue happening that interferes with my business or the kids gaming. Is it really that difficult to have reliable internet. I called family and friends and compared there internet experience with mine. And Cox cable Sucks. How can you anything done with all these interruptions. I work hard for my money and to have a company give you poor service and if you call the kids who answers your call, can care less about you or your internet. They got one goal and that's to get you off of there line. Most people don't have the time to jump through all the hoops I did to write this post. But I'm fedup with another corporate company bottom line is to take your money and in return you get **bleep**ty service. Is there any quality in anything anymore. IP Blacklisted
I checked my IP at mxtoolbox (dot) com due to not receiving authorization codes for other services. Mxtoolbox says my IPv4 address is blacklisted by Spamhaus Zen (IPv6 is not blacklisted). The reasons given are: CBL - You have contracted a virus or malware that is operating a botnet, either on your email server on a workstation behind the NAT - Continual delisting requests without eliminating the virus will result in permanent blacklisting XBL - (Spamhaus Exploits Block List) is a real-time database of IP addresses of hijacked PCs infected by illegal 3rd-party exploits, including open proxies PBL - Spamhaus PBL is a DNSBL database of end-user IP address ranges that should not be delivering unauthenticated SMTP email to any Internet mail server except those provided for specifically by an ISP for that customer's use. None of this applies to me. I have contacted support and they are saying everything is fine on there end but clearly it is NOT because the original issue (receiving authorization codes from various websites). Greetings, "Primary internet is experiencing high latency." "Primary internet is experiencing packet loss." "Your primary internet Cox Communications was disconnected and has been restored multiple times in last 24 h." These messages appear in my UniFi System Log. In the past 4 months, my home internet has required a modem reset 1-2 times per month. What is the recommended course of action for troubleshooting? Ordered an iPhone 16 + wireless line from cox. Changed my mid and requested to cancel. The agent on the phone did cancel it, but forgot to issue a return label for the iPhone. I have been to 3 different stores and they keep saying they don’t take returns for online orders. I spent about 4 hours being bounced around on the phone and they keep saying I have to return it to a store. I was even given a fake work number that did nothing when I presented it to the store.
