Upload speeds drop <1mpbs constantly
For months now there are periods when my upload speeds drop down to 0.1-0.3mbps. During such time phone service becomes also unusable if needing to enter any phone menu driven digits, and any tv channel change becomes impossible to do. I've complained about this constantly either in app, phone or through X (twitter) when it happens and it usually then miraculously fixes itself for another few hours after wasting 2 hours until it again reverts back to being unusable. There seems to be no scheduled date or time to fix this issue. Nor will anyone advise me exactly what the issue is. Nor will Cox send someone out to my house to troubleshoot (indicating I guess they know where the problem rests). Hopefully someone here is willing to investigate and provide an actual answer when I can actually expect to get the service I pay for.RDB_LA26 minutes agoNew Contributor28Views0likes6CommentsFrequent cable n internet drop out
Hi. I live in East Central Phoenix. Every day, several times a day the cable goes down. TV goes black. It freezes and then sometimes the audio comes back but no pic. Or sometimes pic and no audio. If it goes down for too long then I have to reboot the modem. Sometimes I need to unplug modem and contour box too. Frequent internet drop off too. I am sick of this. About ready to buy Tubi and go to T-Mobile for Internet. I pay almost $200 / month for this glitchy TV n internet from Cox. Sucks! I am venting. Don't expect any help. Just getting it off my chest for now.sokCOX202116 hours agoVisitor11Views0likes1CommentPSA For IPv6 ASUS Router Owners
This thread: Router/Modem setup for ipv6 | Cox Community States that "Passthrough" should be selected in the ASUS router in order for the router to use IPv6 properly. For me, the only setting that really worked was Native. So, if you're having problems with IPv6 on an ASUS Router, and you saw that in your Google search results, try Native instead. That is all....CoreWolfSea17 hours agoNew Contributor9Views1like1Commentwork from home, no internet for 5 days
I am now on Day 5 of no internet. 5 days ago when my home interenet started to glitch in connection, I called about the issue and was told I couldnt get an appointment for a week. When I told them how I work from home as a telehealth provider and cant be down for a week, they told me I was put on a priority list. I called later that day after it completely went out (before it was on and off). They told me I had someone coming out the next morning. Never. happened. same thing day after day. lie after lie. How is this ok? and there is no customer service number for the specific area you live in, its all a call service center that has limited capabilities of figuring anything out or adjusting anything. How is this ok? its fraud.Allisonmclendon19 hours agoVisitor29Views0likes2CommentsCall History Update
Call records were displayed in the All tab for a few hours on 01/14/2025, then disappeared again and haven't been seen since. For call records to be available after a month-long outage and then be removed again would have required someone at Cox to have done something to cause it. Has anyone who experienced the Call History outage on 12/13/2024 had the issue fixed?CurtB22 hours agoHonored Contributor325Views0likes29CommentsInternet failing in Chandler
I received a router from Cox. I had problems with this router before and took it back. They insist I take another router that was the exact same model. I now have the same problems occur where my Internet goes down at least 3 to 5 times a day. They insisted it was not the router. When I had another router model from them previously, it worked fine for five years. I’ve seen the Better Business Bureau post and other post about this. Giving up. Recommendations for other providers in Chandler? Verizon?seanstrickler12 days agoNew Contributor29Views0likes1CommentInstallation of internet 1Gig question
I want to upgrade from 500 mb internet to 1gig. I have asked about the installation and if they will run wire inside the house to the seperate rooms I need to hardwire devices. I have not been able to get a straight answer. Has anyone had the installation for the 1 gig speed that can tell me if they ran cable inside the house to different rooms?Akrauz2 days agoNew Contributor28Views0likes4CommentsContour and Paramount+
So I saw this Thread from 4 years ago but could not reply. Why is Cox advertising Contour being able to support Paramount+ yet there is NO WAY to apply the TV code to a website activator? Reply In order to access the Paramount+ app through Cox, a subscription to Paramount+ is required. All billing for the Paramount+ app is billed through Paramount+. There are two options to sign into the Paramount+ app. If you choose “Try it free” follow the instructions on the screen. a) In a web browser, enter paramountplus.com/cox. b) Follow the website directions to create your account. c) After creating your account when the website asks you to enter your activation code, enter the activation code displayed on your TV screen. If you chose “Sign In” two options display on your screen. • If selecting On My TV, then using your Cox remote, enter your Email and Password for Paramount+, then highlight and select Sign In. To sign in, you must already have an account with Paramount+. If you do not already have an account, refer to the steps for the 30-day free trial. • If selecting On the Web, then enter paramountplus.com/cox in a web browser and enter the code now displayed on your TV screen. Follow the instructions to sign in and the TV will authorize automatically when complete.
