Lowe power levels on my Arris Modem
So according to arris my power levels should be around 45-61 dBmV. This can be seen here: Arris official recommendation For some reason on my Arris modem, I am only getting around 35. Screenshot below. Other levels look good as per Arris recommendations, it's just this specific area my levels are low. Customer support has been no help. New Netgear C6250; Cat 5E hardwired to switch. Pay for 100 MB/SEC service; here are my speeds: Note: Only twice in the last 3 months have I ever gotten close to 100 MB downloads. Here are some representative samples: 12-11; 11:02 pm: 15.59 12-4; 11:00 pm: 52.19 12-2; 11:41 pm: 26.64 11-9; 7:18 pm: 28.82 Not much point in going on, my speeds in the evening range from a low of 15.59 MB/Sec to 59 MB/sec. The average hovers around 35 MB/sec download. I feel cheated and duped by COX as I pay almost $ 100/month for internet that never even comes close to the advertised speeds. Also, my service goes away at least once a week, it just goes "poof"; no more internet. Too bad Cox is the only service available at my location. How (if at all) can I get this rectified?810Views0likes1CommentTerrible internet speeds
Does anyone else have a terrible experience with cox internet? Our internet speeds are nowhere near the advertised levels and the internet speed test that is available from cox cable is a complete lie when compared to every other speed test available. The LTE service from my Verizon cell phone is more reliable and has faster download speeds on average when compared.3.3KViews0likes4CommentsSTILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY INTERNET AFTER 6 MONTHS OF NO ONE REALLY FIXING IT!!! Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received
I have been a customer for a year now, and for four months out of the year i have been having intermittent problems. The thing is i work online and pay for the fastest internet speed that they have. My bill alone for internet is $90. I have been getting T3 and T4 timeouts constantly. They sent every level of tech out to my home, and still no fix!...... The last tech who was a supervisor said that the problem was a "plant issue". That was 2 months ago, now im still getting upload speeds @ 1.35mbps ......I hold meetings and conferences online streaming and because of this issue i have been messing up with work. Please!!!!! I need help!!! I have viewed this forum and other forums involving this problem and did the proper research, but no one will speak on this problem and there have been no resolution concerning these timeouts! Ok, I know I have the slowest internet cox offers, but why do I ALWAYS have a lousy connection. Even when I am JUST using my phone and nothing else is using the internet and I can't get any closer to the router and it's the middle of the night...and I have the worst connection. I never not have problems with your internet which is why I downgraded since all the internet speeds seem to be super slow. I know I'm not the only one with this problem because I read the forums. What can I do besides switch providers? Thanks?7.9KViews0likes9CommentsSlow speeds throughout Phoenix and Casa Grande in Arizona
During the past three weeks at two different residences I've lived in Phoenix (I moved recently) and also at a family member's place in Casa Grande, AZ I have been tracking VERY slow speeds on Cox's system. For instance everything was great at my last residence and I was able to download at 2500 KB/s which is very close to my speed I pay for. Towards the last week of my residency there at that place, the connection became extremely erratic, going from 1700 KB/s to 300 KB/s and back up and down. I could see it in my download graph that it was very inconsistent and evident that something is going on with Cox's cable system. Now that I have moved, my new place is experiencing 600-700 KB/s download almost ALL the time I am there in the evenings, and it doesn't matter what time. It could be 6 PM or 3 AM and the speeds are the same. This is sad because I have the 25 mbps package, which should equal roughly 2000-2500 KB/s on downloads. So what gives? If you want to give me a 5th of the service why not change my price to a 5th of the price? To further check on this I asked my cousin who lives in Casa Grande if he's been experiencing any speed issues and sure enough he has the same issue but even worse! He only gets 200-300 KB/s on his downloads now and has the same package. So if there are issues Cox, why not tell your users about them? I don't see any place on the website that shows news saying that you're upgrading the system, or anything like that. It would be nice to keep your users in the know. How long will I continue to pay for full service but only get 1/5th of the service I'm paying for?4.9KViews0likes5Comments
