Issue with Nomorobo using Simultaneous Ringing
Ok after several attempts to try and get Nomorobo set up found out that the Simultaneous Ringing is not available yet! According to Cox Chat told me "Chris R.:Joanne, I have checked your account, in this case, I am sorry to tell you that simultaneous ring neither Nomorobo are available in your area, please check your bill statement every month in order to see when it is enabled. We are working as quick as we can in order to give all our customers this benefits in the closest future. However, there is not an estimated time". So now I left to wonder why it is listed in phone features but yet not available and they don't know when it will be?6.9KViews0likes7CommentsCall blocking of Spam
I have unsuccessfully tried to activate NoMoRoBo and need support. These are the steps performed: Cox->Settings NoMoRoBo->ON Established an account at NoMoRoBo as directed. Unable to Activate in Settings Simultaneous Ring->On Unable to Save. The Save button is grayed out. How do I save the setting? On a related issue, I have seen comments on the NoMORoBo interactions, and its failure to block spam. There are the issues: The Text message seen shows a legitimate address from a legitimate person/enterprise. To remove this phone one must do "Selective Call Blocking", I have seen it initiated as both *60 and *67. Please clarify. The Text message does not have a phone number. See selective blocking above. The Text message shows a phone number which Cox recognizes as incorrect. There should be an option to block all such calls. And to this I not that in order for a call to proceed, Cox must know the actual phone number used. Knowing this number allows communication. Not knowing this number does not allow Cox to initiate of continue the call. Therefore, Cox knows this number and should be able to take appropriate action. And, to this I add, that this is irrespective of whether the actual number is VoIP or conventional. I would like this blocking service!4.7KViews0likes6CommentsSimultaneous Ring for Nomorobo in Northern Virginia
Looking at old posts from 7 or 8 months ago where folks from Northern Virginia were asking when the Simultaneous Ring option was coming our way so we could use Nomorobo, the Cox Corp response, was "please be patient." Well, it's been a LONG time! If you can't get us Simultaneous Ring, how about you create a robo blocker and implement it with our current technology? I am SO TIRED of these ROBOTIC calls!2.4KViews0likes2CommentsHome Phone calls Cell Phone
I do not have long distance service on my home phone. But the past several months, my Cox bill shows I've made long distance calls to MY CELL PHONE which is a different area code. Cox charges .18 for a 1 second call to my cell phone. I wasn't at home on several occasions, so what the .......... is happening ?2.1KViews1like2Comments
