Motorola. DCH 3200 rebooting
I have the motorola DCH 3200. This is actually a replacement I had, since the last cable box was doing the same thing. Problem is these boxes have been constantly rebooting. As of tonight my new (7yr old) motorola did it so much that now it's completely dark. So of course I'm having another tech come out in 2 days. No tv in that time. Anyone else have this problem?6.9KViews0likes3CommentsHow often should you reset or unplug your box? My friend treats his contour box like a computer and reboots it daily or right before watches something. Especially in HD. Necessary or not?
Why do you have to constantly unplug or reboot your contour box? Box is under two years old.1.3KViews0likes2Commentstwo different MB7420 modems keep rebooting during activation
Recently, I've tried to activate a MB7420 with Cox but this first MB7420 kept rebooting after activation. After 5 - 6 times rebooting, we gave up and returned to the old TP-link modem which works fine. I've gotthe second MB7420 modem and tried to activate with Cox and it failed. It keeps rebooting during activation. The error log files in both MB7420 show rebooting happens just after INIT SOFTWARE log is recorded. I guess it was trying to update firmware by COX but those modems keep rebooting. Two different modems of the same model show the exact same problem. I wonder if Cox pushes an incompatible firmware to these MB7420 modems. Called Cox but no resolution. Can this be fixed?977Views0likes2CommentsPanoramic Modem/Router set to bridge mode keeps rebooting periodically
My modem is probably 3 months old. About 3 weeks ago it started rebooting itself for no apparent reason. I have it set in Bridge mode so I can use my own firewall and router. I've noticed my upstream signal on all channels are 52 or greater. Is that a problem? I also don't get full gigabit service... probably more like 500Mb. Any ideas? When I check with whatismyip.com i get a different cox ip address from what the internals of the cox modem says... both are cox ip addresses. not internal ones since it is in bridge more I expected them both to be the same. Any chance that is a problem?499Views0likes0CommentsMB7420 modems keep rebooting during startup
Very similar to this, if not the same issue: https://forums.cox.com/forum_home/internet_forum/f/internet-forum/28306/two-different-mb7420-modems-keep-rebooting-during-activation The modem boots up fine and the internet connection is great. Keeps doing it indefinitely. It might have something to do with the client router dhcp or something because I can get it to stop doing the "SW Download INIT - Via NMS" if I reboot the router at the right time. Seems to have to pull a 192.168.100.x ip and then it does the external IP. Not sure why that works or maybe that has nothing to do with it. All I know is I have to reboot the router at the right time after the modem comes up, otherwise the "SW Download INIT - Via NMS" occurs and reboots w/ the same indefinitereboot cycle.447Views0likes1Comment
