How can I change the SSID on Panoramic TG1682 gateway?
In the interest of added security I'm contemplating changing both the default password and SSID on my TG1682 gateway. However, I was unable to find a reference for it in the User Guide I discovered on the internet (couldn't find one available from Cox). I'm hoping to accomplish this task, or at least learn if it's at all possible with the TG1682.3.2KViews0likes3CommentsHow do I change my wifi password... with a twist!
I have a Ubee UVW326 and I know to go to 192.168.100.1 and put in user user... but that doesn't work. No, caps lock is not on. I've also tried the credentials on the side of the modem and I've tried my cox SSID and pw and nothing gives me access. What suggestions do you wisemen have for me?2.1KViews0likes1Comment- 2.3KViews0likes5Comments
Password change does not stick
I have had this same problem over the last week. I noticed that my password no longer was accepted as valid, so I went through the standard password change process, with success. I also changed the password on my handheld device, and was successful. Everything is by the book to this point. Flash forward about 24 hours. My password is no longer valid on any device, and not valid when I log in using the web interface. Go through the password change process again, and everything is fine for another 24 hours. Support has offered no solutions at this point. This is getting tedious. Any suggestions?1.4KViews0likes1CommentPassword problem setting up IMAP
My COX account password works fine for everything EXCEPT IMAP settings. My spouse uses IMAP without any problems using his standard COX login password. Settings: Using Thunderbird email: [same as I've been using for years with COX pop account] port: 993 username: [same as email less "@cox.net"] security: SSL/TSL authentication method: Normal Password [and I've typed it in when asked over and over!] "Get messages" fails asking for new password. My password is 8 characters with letters and number and to repeat, works fine to log onto the Cox website, etc. -Sherri S1.7KViews0likes1CommentEmail password
Good morning, For years now, I've sent and received email via Cox.net (I also have a gmail account as well). All of a sudden I got a message saying it couldn't send an email I'd just written. I continue to receive Cox mail but can't send. For example, I just sent a test 1 mail from the gmail account to the cox.net account and I received the mail into my cox.net account. Then I sent test 2 from my cox.net account to my gmail account and immediately got the message that it could not send. So, I changed my cox password and tried to register my account in Apple email. Having just reassigned the password for my Cox account, I know exactly what it is. When I try to register my accounts in Apple email, it tells me I have a wrong password. Any clues? Is there a password for cox and a separate one for the email account? Jim5.5KViews0likes12CommentsChanging Network Name/Password
I had a Cox Commctns guy come out here today & set us up- very helpful btw. But now I don't know how to personalize the Network name & password. I know you guys recommend not to do that, but it will make things easier for us. I've been looking around on this site for some answers, but nothing has worked so far. I was only given this little set-up guide. No official manual or anything. I have a Ubee. It is a DOCSIS 3.0 WeMTA. The S/N is: D484M13003917 What other info would you need to help me? There are a bunch of other #'s on this box, but not sure what's what. Thanks in advance! I'll probably call Cox in the morning, but just thought I'd ask here while I'm thinking about it.39KViews0likes1Commentandriod email
Recently I had to change my webmail password. Ever since then I can't access cox mail on my andriod phone with verizon. Verizon said it's a COX issue. It will not sign on sayinf that the user name and password do not match. I can sign on everywhere else, except on my phone. Anyone else having this trouble and know of a solution. It also happens on the K-9 app.2.5KViews0likes2Comments
