Nomorobo now available in only a few select Cox markets
Nomorobo now lists Cox as a carrier for their service. However, I subsequently signed up for Nomorobo only to find out that simultaneous ring is only available in a few select Cox markets. Any idea when simultaneous ring will be available in the Hampton Roads, VA market? Thanks.

NOMOROBO STOPS UNWANTED ILLEGAL ROBO CALLS - WHY DOES COX NOT OFFER THIS FEATURE?
Cox Communications does not listen to its customers I have been one over for over 25 years and they will not listen to me or anyone on this issue. I suspect once they see this thread they will immediately lock it so that the thousands of customers who have a problem with robo calls (for which cox offers ancient non working solutions) cannot comment. Cox claims they cannot offer "Simultaneous Ring" which they can but simply refuse to do, if they tell you anything to the contrary its complete fiction. Every other voip company has it and all of them also offer nomorobo so that the calls we get from India etc. are blocked. Cox will say "sign up for the national do not call list". That will not work for you because the calls are from outside the USA. Cox knows this but does not care they just spew garbage at us. Cox will also say they have selective call blocking (they charge for this feature) and you can block up to 30 numbers or some nonsense. That also will not work even if you could block unlimited numbers you would get the same amount of robo calls always from a different number so here we can establish that cox is not consumer focused they are revinue focused they want to sell us a feature that does not even work. COX Corporate customer service was not helpful either they spew the same garbage at us. Now COX, do what you do best and lock this thread. Hide your heads in the sand like ostriches. Hide under your desks and pretend this is all going to just go away...

Does Cox support the use of nomorobo, a program that blocks annoying robocallers and telemarketers from reaching your phone? Have there been any problems reported concerning usage of this program?

Simultaneous Ring - Nomorobo
Evidently Cox has been implementing simultaneous ring (to allow Nomorobo) to work in selected markets. When is the Northern Virginia market going to be included? nomorobo.zendesk.com/.../360001351692-Cox Thank you.

Why no defense against spam calls, and robocalls??
I have a Cox account that includes both internet, and phone service, but I am slammed by constant, endless spam phone calls despite being on the "Do Not Call" list, and I am sick of answering the phone 20 times a day to find out that it is another robot, recorded message calling me. I would love to be able to defend against this with the NoMoRobo software, but Cox does not support it.... This is frustrating because Cox Cable has repeatedly raised my monthly rates for service, and they seem to be completely detached from the real world as far as features go. PLEASE Cox, join the rest of the world in the 21st century, and stop blocking EVERYTHING except spam!!

when can digital voice customers use NOMOROBO,cox has been working on this forever.Al other providers offer customers the serice. What is happening that digital voice customers have to wait?

Add my voice to the chorus. Nomorobo should be available for Cox VOIP calling. It's cheap and easy. Why wouldn't they?

Caller ID City, ST-no one there. Multiple calls a day
We receive 5-15 calls a day where the caller ID is a city and state only, and sometimes just The Hartford (up to three times a day). No one is ever there or leaves a message. I have tried to answer to find out who they are, but no answer, just empty air. I ignore them, but it is a time waster and interrupter and leaves us scrambling when it is a wanted caller. Most calls are daytime/evening. They come from all over the country, NV, CA, FL, SD and most common is CT where we are located. Is this a condition of internet phone, spamming, robo calls? Is there anyway to combat it or report it?

I need a nomorobo number in the 520 (Tucson) area code
I can't find any way to talk to nomorobo human-to-human, and Cox isn't able to provide, but I need a 520 area code (Tucson) number to use for the simulaneous ring for nomorobo. The one I was provided is a 602 number, and I'm being charged for each call intercepted as a long distance call to Phoenix. Are there any users in Tucson that have a 520 number they are using for the service?
