TV Listings Removed from the Web
Why did COX (say it out loud - the name says it all) replace their local TV listings page with a page for sales of streaming products? Why did COX decide it was a good idea to downgrade part of the service I pay ever escalating fees for (even more money every year for fewer channels, poorer quality signals, frequent loss of all services and diffferent channel blocks) by REMOVING LOCAL TV LISTINGS FROM THE WEB. EVERY link to what used to show listings of scheduled shows for all the locally available channels - essentially putting the "Guide" online - have been re-routed to a sales pitch for various streaming upgrades and apps and services. I DON'T WANT STREAMING SERVICE! I WANT TO KNOW IF / WHEN CERTAIN SHOWS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON MY CABLE (OTT) SERVICE! Do they really want me to discontinue Cable TV service for streaming only? If I do it *** SURE won't be with COX (say it out loud - the name says it all).Faulty Guide causing many duplicate recordings and scheduling conflicts
A large percentage of the shows I have set to record "New Episodes Only" have become increasingly "miss-labeled" in the Guide -- lacking a "Repeat" designation on re-runs. This now causes many duplicate recordings... and also scheduling conflicts that SHOULD NOT be occurring. It used to only happen occasionally and I would have to manually delete the repeats from the scheduling queue ahead of time. But this month, things have gotten MUCH WORSE. Who is in charge of getting the Guide designations right so that Repeats DO NOT record?
Hide c button sports notification?
I love using the 'c' button to see sports information -- However what I cannot stand is thatannoying notification that comes up every time I tune to a sports channel. I am aware of the way the 'c' button works and don't need to be notified every time; It's problematic because I can't interact with the guide or other menu options while that notification is present; I have to first press "exit" to remove it. Is there any way to turn that notification off (or make it smarter to stop showing once I've demonstrated I know about the c-button?) Thanks!Missing red dot on program guide - Contour 2
We have a Contour 2 cable box/DVR and there seems to be a slight glitch in the guide software. We have a program set in the scheduled recordings, but when browsing the guide, the show does not have the red dot next to it in the listing to indicate that the show will record. My mom uses the red dot in the guide listings to tell her if her show is set to record or not, so it's confusing to her when the red dot does not appear. Any ideas what might be going on here?Compared to Directv's, your onscreen guide is horrible
There's no option to view only Channels in my plan lineup. Original air dates aren't listed for programs. The search function doesn't work. And there is no option at all to search for channels. (Among other things) You need to step up your game if you want to complete.
