Cox and Playstation Vue
There seems to be an issue in Lafayette, LA with Playstation Vue and/or Cox Residential internet. There are 8 people at my office, and even more on Playstation forums who live in Lafayette that have issues connecting to this service. I have tried troubleshooting this as much as possible. I've primarily been working with the Playstation team, but I think it is now time to start working with Cox as well. I have tried connecting my playstation directly to my modem, but that has not resolved the issue. I have other friends in the area using a different ISP, and they have no issues connecting to the service. When I tether using my phone, I also don't have an issue connecting to the service. Only when I use my Cox connection. I have used Cox's chat, and they say that my connection is fine, and that my modem is fine, but obviously, there is something going on that isn't right. What should my next step be? I've tried getting in touch with a higher level of technical support with Cox, but am not sure how.3KViews0likes2Comments!!!!---Constant Internet Speed Issues---!!!!
Since I have had Cox I have had constant connectivity issues. Our modem has been upgraded to the Netgear N450 CG3000Dv2 to assist with our previous connectivity issues. We were running at 15 Megs on our previous plan and had constant speed of 8 Megs MAX. I just upgraded our internet to 50 Megs and we are lucky to get 2 Megs of download speed on a good day. We are paying almost 2x the prior cost for a slower speed. I checked our modem compatibility and it states the hardware can process up to 150 Megs of download speed. I have hard RESET the modem and RESET the connection on the online tool multiple times now. I understand Cox to be more reliable than other internet providers. Their customer service is extremely friendly, but unfortunately I have not been able to have any of these issues resolved. I have our most recent speed test provided below. Of which, I see it doesn't show up. Basically, it details we are running at 1.66 Megs on download and 2 Megs on upload. Our upload speed is faster than the download! Any advise or information would be greatly appreciated.2.2KViews0likes1CommentFrequent drops in connectivity today
I'm on a vpn from my home and am experiencing frequent drops and lots of lag in my wireless connection today. I used ping yahoo.com -t and it shows a time value up to 220ms on some pings when it is normally 52ms today. I looked at my router's log and see the following entries: Tue Oct 11 12:04:06 2016 Critical (3) Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Tue Oct 11 11:31:33 2016 Error (4) DHCP RENEW WARNING - Field invalid in response v4 option;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Tue Oct 11 11:31:27 2016 Critical (3) Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Mon Oct 10 23:31:33 2016 Error (4) DHCP RENEW WARNING - Field invalid in response v4 option;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Mon Oct 10 16:58:55 2016 Critical (3) Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Mon Oct 10 11:31:33 2016 Error (4) DHCP RENEW WARNING - Field invalid in response v4 option;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Sat Oct 08 12:26:42 2016 Critical (3) Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Sat Oct 08 11:31:33 2016 Error (4) DHCP RENEW WARNING - Field invalid in response v4 option;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Sat Oct 08 09:36:15 2016 Critical (3) Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Fri Oct 07 23:31:33 2016 Error (4) DHCP RENEW WARNING - Field invalid in response v4 option;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Fri Oct 07 10:24:10 2016 Critical (3) Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Thu Oct 06 23:31:33 2016 Error (4) DHCP RENEW WARNING - Field invalid in response v4 option;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Thu Oct 06 22:35:30 2016 Critical (3) Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Thu Oct 06 11:31:33 2016 Error (4) DHCP RENEW WARNING - Field invalid in response v4 option;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Thu Oct 06 10:11:29 2016 Critical (3) Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=<removed>;CMTS-MAC=<removed>;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; What can I do to resolve this? I saw elsewhere that a static IP can be set on my laptop but since I am VPNed into my work network I'm thinking this could foul up my ability authenticate...no idea..just a hunch.1.4KViews0likes1CommentVarying speeds
Hey I have had Cox Premier for about a year and a half now. I have had more issues than I can count. My biggest issue is the speeds are nowhere near consistent. I am a gamer and my playstation 4 is not getting the speeds that I am paying cox to provide. I have had my PS4 serviced twice and nothing is wrong with the PS4. I have had my router and modem replaced 3 times in the last year. One minute I might get 20Mbps down and 5mbps up and then the next minute I would get 80 down and 7 up. I have had technicians out to the house 7-8 times in the last 6 months and every time they come out and run the in home tests, everything is fine, they find nothing wrong. I have called playstation and cox both numerous times and now I am just tired of getting the run around. I would like some answers.1.1KViews0likes1Comment
