Dropping Upstream Channels
I am having trouble with my modem losing upstream channels. It seems to only happen when it is hot outside and primarily between around 11:00 am and 6:00 pm. I tried contacting technical support and while the person I talked to was courteous, he was not listening to what I was telling him. He said I needed a firmware update, so he pushed one out to my modem. Problem is the so called firmware update matches exactly the one from the screen shot I took two days before. Update, not so much. Imagine my surprise when that did not fix the issue. Is there anyone here that can help? my modem is aCisco DPC3010 DOCSIS 3.0.1.4KViews0likes1CommentMini Box Not Displaying Channels
I picked up two Mini Boxes at the local Solutions Store yesterday. Installed them, activated them and found that only a shorter version of the TV Starter channels were showing as available for viewing (23 channels), even though we have Contour TV Preferred which includes alll the TV Essential channels. I have used the Channel Scan several times and unplugged/rebooted the Mini. We have a technician coming Monday to replace the defective Cisco Receiver/DVR, should I just leave it to him to fix, or is there something else that can be done to get these working?1.5KViews0likes1CommentNew Channel Guide
Agreed - this is ridiculous given that there are thousands of channels and not even a way to identify that you don't get it without clicking on it to see....wow - can't believe such a large provider would have such a huge bug in their process....and customer service didn't seem to care - just asked if I had a written list of the channels I get...like I can cross check 3,000 channels against a letter size list of channel names...right....reconsidering using Cox. Forum: TV Forum Posted: 13 Sep 2014 Post Subject: New Channel Guide Post author: Jon R. With the recent Program Guide "upgrade", my channel list shows not just my Favorite channels as before, but also EVERY channel available, ones subscribed to and not subscribed to. After much searching, I found a way to hide the unwanted channels, but no way to permanently save the search option. So each time I need to select Custom 1. I can't believe this frustrating lack of giving users a way to save their search preferences was intentional. Clearly, the software techs that changed your Guide did not think about the customer experience and the added frustration. Please have them reinstate this basic feature. Display only subscribed channels
I am surprised that this is not a feature yet here when it has been a feature on other providers using the same equipment (Charter Digital in Oregon and Washington) since the late 90's. I know that bean counters love the up-sale and all, I have the advanced basic package and there are 100's of channels I don't need to see since I don't get them nor want them. I know its as simple as unlocking the programming feature in the box with a simple code since there you have to request it with some packages and they just send a signal and with in a few minutes the option is available. Why can't we get this here???? Other than that I am happy with my service... If only It had this one little thing...20KViews0likes8CommentsCable Programming by Channel
Why is it that a huge percentage of the time, when I try to view the programming listing via the Cox website, it tells me it cannot find the information or gives me some other reason why it cannot let me browse channel programming to select what to watch? I do not have the on-screen guide, and I depend heavily on the web program listing. I need Cox to fix its website and provide continuous, reliable, accurate programming information.2.4KViews0likes3CommentsCertain channels missing on HD
So, I just received my new cable box (with Contour and so on), and I have the Advanced-package, I'd say. It's supposed to show all channels both regular and HD. Somehow I get CNN (channel 49), but no CNN HD (1049), it's missing from the guide and I can't tune into that channel. I'm also missing certain Music Choice-channels, such as (my favorite) Party Favorites (922). It just jumps over them. Very strange, I'd say. Any ideas about what might be going on?6.2KViews0likes6CommentsWrong channel numbers
The on-line guide lists the wrong channel numbers, even if I log in. For example, the on-line guide says NBC is channel 4, but my TV says it's 12. [This just started fairly recently, around November 2013. The on-line guide used to list the correct numbers.]3.4KViews0likes4Comments
