On Demand
I was watching a few different shows on OnDemand. I went back to watch them this weekend and they are all gone. They are shows that just started airing. They aired during the week and then I watch them a day or two later so I know they haven't expired. The titles of the show are even gone like they never existed on OnDemand. Blacklist has never showed up on OnDemand like last season. The second season of Colony started. It airs on Thursday nights. I go to watch in Saturday the title of the show is completely gone. Not even the last couple of shows are there. I notice they add season one of Expanse to the Syfy list a couple of weeks ago. It said it expired in August 2017. I thought great I start watching them this weekend. Now there's no shows there. Not even season two, which just started airing. What going on? Is Cox no longer providing shows in anymore? Are they cutting back? Quite disappointing.1.8KViews0likes1CommentChanges in On Demand
As of a few days ago, I'm no longer able to access TV shows via On Demand -- or at least I wasn't able to get ABC or CBS on the two evenings I tried (then I gave up). Instead, I get a window with a number to call to subscribe. What's up? Cable becomes significantly less useful without this feature. Is this temporary?1.4KViews0likes1CommentContour Box daily problems (Model 9865HDC)
My contour box requires reboot constantly, are there know issues with this device or can they be resolved somehow? Since the day this device was installed in my home I have many problems. Initially it would have trouble getting some channels. I went through my home and tightened down all of my cable connections (made sure splitters and connections were tight). The channel troubles became less frequent, but I am still having to reboot the box constantly. Sometimes it requires a reboot to even open the DVR function. Sometimes it will not rewind live TV and I need to reboot. Other times the guide will not display or I cannot change channels. This is the most inconvenient DVR system I have ever used. I hope that I am alone in this struggle and there is some software/firmware update or model replacement that will resolve these chronic issues.4.2KViews0likes3CommentsTiVo & Cox OnDemand in Phoenix
The forums say some people have it and some people don't have OnDemand on their TiVo's in Phoenix. Phone reps have said its available. TiVo Website says its available on a blog post but then in the support documents it's only available in one zip code. 4 techs have been out to my house and they state "it should be working." TiVo support said in the morning it is available and in the afternoon it wasn't. Cox twitter support said they could get it working but then said if TiVo said it wasn't available it wasn't available. So is it available or not. I am really tired of being told its available and it's not. Xfinity had it for years and it worked great. Heck at this point Xfinity/Comcast is looking like a better company than Cox, and that is saying something!16KViews0likes32CommentsOn Demand not available
I've not been able to access any On Demand channels in the last few days. This seems to coincide with the change in menus. When I try to access an On Demand channel, say NBC, I can get to the individual show listings, but when I select a particular episode, I get the error that "we are unable to fulfill your request at this time." Then another error pops up about checking my cable connections. I previously had no problem with the On Demand until this new menu format. I've tried multiple On Demand channels, all with the same result. I have tried to reset my cable box by unplugging for 10 minutes, but this does not resolve the problem. I've checked my cables (coax, power, hdmi) and they are all fine. It looks like I'm not the only one to have this problem. Is there anything else I can try to resolve this issue?2.4KViews0likes3CommentsThe Strain episode 212 skipped
So it's been a week and The Strain episode 212 is STILL not available but 213 is. The Cox tech support guy referred my to another company "In Demand" which apparently handles this stuff but going to their web site it is not readily apparent who to contact. It seems like the original promise to make shows available within 24 hrs is obviously out the window because it' frequently takes several days. I don't want a dvr because it would not be cost effective for as often as we'd use it, and besides we're already paying for the so called on demand service. Guess I can watch it on line but if I pay for something it needs to be available.3.4KViews0likes6CommentsOrdered OnDemand movie but it will not play
I ordered Project Almanac yesterday but it will not play. Message: "We are unable to fulfill request at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience." I hope that I will not be charged for a movie that was never delivered but I am not optimistic. It is bad enough there are regular channels that refuse to come in for instance 205 will not play at the moment.1.7KViews0likes1CommentQuestion about Contour OnDemand and recordings
Hello again. I was wondering if anyone has been able to record an OnDemand program to DVD player or VCR with their Contour box. I used to be able to record OnDemand stuff on my old Scientific whatever cable box. I assume this is an issue with DRM / copy protection but curious if others are able to record and it is just a set up on my side So far I have been able to record stuff from regular channels with no issues. Thanks1.8KViews0likes1CommentLooking for Korean Channels
I'm looking for access to Korean Channels. I spent some time browsing and searching, but I haven't come up with anything through Cox - my current provider. I'm in OH, and it looks like we don't even get Spanish channels here. Is there another package or something that I should be aware of?14KViews0likes5Comments
