Audio cuts in/out 2 secs on 2secs off continually on channel 81 (Heroes & Icons). This ** and so does Cox fake chat help.
On Channel 81-Heroes and Icons network the audio continually cuts in and out, about 2 second on 2 seconds off. This continues for as long as I am tuned to that channel. It is not an intermittent problem. What ** even more is that there is no way to email Cox about this. Their so-calle chat help is nothing more than a bot with a bunch of canned responses to issues which have no relevance to this matter.559Views0likes2CommentsRemoving the duplicate HD channels on 1000-1950
Greetings, Back on my Cox October 2020 bill, they announced the following: ===================== IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR COX PROGRAMMING HD CHANNELS on 1000's Effective on or after 12/3/2020, we're making it easier to watch the channels you love. We are removing the duplicate HD channels on 1000-1950. You can still enjoy the programming previously on these channels by tuning into the lower 2 or 3-digit corresponding channel number. Example: 1010 go to 10 / 1143 go to 143 Your DVR recordings, favorites and parental controls won't be affected, so you won't have to do a thing. ================== To this day, this change has not occurred on my end, though I've reset my Cox cable box numerous times since December 2020 to see if it'll update (using both the online reset tool and by unplugging the power & cable lines from the cable box). In my channel guide, I still have the 2-digit HD channels and the corresponding/duplicate 1000-series HD channels. For example, I have a channel 24 and 1024. If I favorite either channel, both get favorited. I can watch either channel, as I cycle through my favorite channels. I understood why this duality of channels existed during the years that Cox was transitioning from SD to HD. But according to the Cox announcement on my bill, this condition would be eliminated and shouldn't exist any longer. So what's going on here and is there a way to resolve it? Thank you4.1KViews0likes6CommentsNew TCL 65" Roku tv - HD nowhere to be seen
I am going crazy with the clarity of the video picture on cox. We used to have SD and HD channels. There is no difference in the clarity. I spoke with cox rep for Oklahoma and they said cox updated all digital to HD so I would see no difference. The problem is, the picture is fuzzy. Not clear like a true HD channel should be. I am currently using tivo bolt, cox tuning adapter, cable card and HDMI to connect. I am so frustrated with the fuzzy picture! Any suggestions?2.5KViews0likes7CommentsWhy are there always some HD channels off the air ?
Why are there always some HD channels off the air ? Only random HD channels. I pay for HD channels, but there are HD channels off the air all the time. I'll accept a discount on my bill from now on. We only pay for what we get in this house. I'm sure you understand. And don't try to give me the tech support runaround trying to tire me out so I'll just go away. I'm well versed in Cox Communications' unethical tactics.1.3KViews1like2CommentsAuto-Tune to HD doesn’t work
I do not know when this tatted, but relatively recently, my contour cable has stopped auto/tuning to HD. I knew about the setting and it randomly disappeared, I was looking for it because I was trying to turn it back on because I assumed it was turned off. I searched it up and learned they renamed it to “Prefer Best Available Resolution”, I checked the setting and it had been on the whole time but it still doesn’t work. An example of this is when I use voice commands to say a channel name, and it will take me to the standard definition version instead of the high definition version (i.e. saying “TV Land” will take me to Channel 58, not Channel 1058). When it automatically went to the HD Channel variant, it used to also say “auto tuning to HD Channel” or something similar to that. Another example is when I’m trying to look at a TV show to see if it’s on currently, and if I click “watch” it takes me to the standard definition channel (i.e. If I click “watch” so I can watch Seinfeld on TBS, it shows channel 49, not 1049. One thing I also just noticed is that it says “49 TBSHDP”, which I always assumed that the HD was meant to represent “Hight Definition”, but if 49 is high definition, then what is the point of 1049? Restarting my cable doesn’t work.9.1KViews0likes11Comments
