DVR frequently hangs when fast forwarding or rewinding
Regularly when I fast forward or rewind a show it won't stop when I press play. Instead, It will continue fast forwarding or rewinding for several more seconds. I can tell when this is happening because the timer display on the screen will freeze. When the fast forward or rewind does stop it will have jumped 20 minutes or so. Also, often times when I press the Guide button or DVR button on the remote it will take several seconds for the guide to display. This is my second DVR. The first one, a Motorola DCH3416, behaved exactly the same way. My current DVR is a Motorola DCX3400. Resetting, unplugging, etc does not fix the problem. Slingbox 500 with a Cisco XiD (Model CXD01ANI) Contour 2
I just upgrade to Contour 2 due to major DVR issue. When they did this, they replaced my Cisco Model GSH4742 with the mini HDMI receiver, Cisco XiD (Model CXD01ANI). The mini HDMI receiver does not come with any components that is need for sound but it does not support infrared for online remote control. 15 second advance to eliminate commercials on recorded shows
We had DirecTV before moving to our new home. On the remote were 2 buttons that could advance or rewind in 15 second intervals. This was helpful in rapidly advancing through commercials . I can't find that feature with Cox. Is anyone familiar with a work around?1.6KViews0likes1Comment
