Re: Webmail sign out not working thanks, but that doesn't really address the issue. I want to be able to sign out NOW, using the icon that is provided for doing just that , so that I can login to a different ID NOW. Webmail sign out not working Breaking out from another post: I have a few different user IDs for different purposes (hobby forums, important stuff, etc) When I view Webmail (Firefox, Win7) I used to be able to sign out using the icon on the Webmail toolbar. It would take me to a login page. NOW when I select that sign-out icon it just reloads the current page with the list of emails. In order to "log out" of that user ID, I need to completely exit from the browser. Then I have to start again, login to another ID, close browser to logout if I want to check a different ID... Yes, it can be done but it is extremely inconvenient. This just started two days ago. Re: Strange new screen when trying to access COX webmail regardless of device type I still cannot log out from a user ID. Looking at Webmail, and when I am done I select the icon on the Webmail toolbar that says Sign out (when you mouse-over) All it does is reload the same page. I tried to sign out here on the forum, and it said I signed out, but I don't think so. Re: Strange new screen when trying to access COX webmail regardless of device type I had the same screen for a moment, clicked the back arrow on my browser thinking I had accidentally clicked something. It then logged me on to view my webmail. I tried to signout using the icon on the webmail toolbar, but it just keeps reloading the page. I had to close out of the browser completely, Opened up browser again, clicked my bookmark for Webmail, logged in like normal, but it still won't let me sign out. Re: email filters I have checked email via a cell phone and a tablet. I have been doing that for the past couple of years. The extra sub-folders just started showing up two days ago. Also, it is only on the primary account, it doesn't happen on any secondary accounts. I haven't changed any software or settings on PC, cell, or tablet. If it is supposedly syncing folders, why would it put Trash and Sent Mail into the Inbox as sub-folders? I guess it's just something else to have to learn to live with. Re: email filters Well, got that issue fixed for a day or two. Now there's a new one. On the Webmail site, all the other folders are showing as subfolders of the Inbox. By that, I mean Drafts, Sent Mail, Spam and Trash. They also exist in their "normal" display as being top folders with an icon, like the Inbox. The contents of the folders are different. The main Trash folder has 64 items, the subfolder has 5 different messages with 2 unread. All the other subfolders are empty. Because of those subfolders, my Inbox is showing 2 unread emails. NO I did not create them. NO I do not want them. They showed up earlier today, I deleted them, and they have come back. sigh. Re: email filters That creates a sub-folder in the Inbox, which File to (name) also did. The problem was that it would create a duplicate message. If I read or deleted from one folder, it still existed as unread in the other folder. Funny thing is, it seems to work fine on one of the secondary accounts from Cox. I guess I will try again. Maybe next step try the Redirect to and create a new secondary account just for those emails. Of course, this all worked beautifully in the old version of Cox email. email filters I am trying to set up an email filter, but can't seem to figure out how to do it. I am going to be receiving a large number of emails from a specific source, and want to have them sorted into their own folder. Under the old email system, which I still miss, the action performed was Move to (folder name) The option does not exist in this new system. There is an action File into (folder name) which does create a copy in the new folder, but it still leaves an original in my inbox. The option Redirect to... seems to be for forwarding email to another address. How can I sort these messages into their own folder WITHOUT having duplicates in the Inbox ?? Re: New Webmail issues socal transplant I went and found my original post about this back in June. There was a reply from another user, in which he explained how he got it to work. He changed his settings in Chrome to allow third-party cookies. After that, it worked fine. ??? Why would I accept third-party cookies on what is supposed to be a secure, personal page ?
