Can't cancel phone service
We do not use our phone anymore and I call to have it removed and I'm told it would be cheaper to keep it!?? How is it cheaper? It will lower my bill by almost $30. So why pay that if I don't use it? How many up stream channels and down stream channels does COX have? My modem SB6190 can get 32 down and 8 up, but it is only getting 4 up. A soft and hard reset on the modem does not help. The picture quality is worse, Cox compresses there signal too much. It would help if Cox would drop some of the pay per view channels and the sports channels that for 99% of the time have nothing on them. Cox is cramming to many channels in and you have to compress the signal to do that. Satellite has a lot bigger signal spectrum to use = better picture quality. I had the same problem, but I changed my network card to a gigabit card and I get the speeds I pay for now. I have premier up to 100mbps. If you have a 10/100 card upgrade it to a gigabit. As long as you have the right modem and gigabit router it may help. I'm now getting at the lowest 72 the highest 130.0Views0likes0Comments- 0Views0likes0Comments
