I received the following email in my Cox email. My account is not locked so I assume it is a fake. Hi Member, So heads up, we had to lock your account because security flagged some odd behavior. We've taken steps to protect your information and need your help to make sure this doesn't happen again: Step one: Update at Cox to gain access to your account Visit us at ................ to update your account. I received a call just now saying that there had been a breakdown that effected my internet connection and they wanted me to get on my internet do they could show me how to fix it. I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I am using Internet Explorer 11 and I have Windows 7. Both are up to date. What do I do to get my email. It worked yesterday. I changed my home page to go directly to the "weather" tab. It is better than all of the huge graphics, but unlike the old page, I can't get to the weather page where I can set up different cities to check the weather. These channels turn themselves off when nobody in your area has been watching. That is determined based on interaction with the box which is why you see the prompt on the screen with the warning. Pressing select when prompted will confirm you are still watching the channel telling the equipment on our end to continue broadcasting. Sometimes I am not right in front of the TV when the prompt comes up, but I am actively listening. And what does Comcast have to do with this?] Since I pay a lot of money for cable, I don't feel I should have to switch channels every 4 hours, or answer that I am "still watching".
