So far what COX has said is a solution is about as clear as mud. There is no way to skip over the channels you or I do not want to even consider watching. We have to pay for them, but I don't have to watch them if I don't want to.

Wow... Nice Band-aid solution to an inherent issue. One would think that with what the service fees are and with today's technology, Cox would make it an option to do other than use Favorites. That's what "Favorites" is for... The channels you consider your "Favorite," not to skip channels you are not subscribed to. I think it's absolutely RIDICULOUS that we are not able to skip/hide channels we do not want to see on the guide. I am glad I am not under contract. Customer support is a JOKE! I will be cancelling as soon as Prime is available in my area.

I'm truly sorry we've made you feel this way. It definitely wasn't our intention. The use of Favorites instead of Skipped channels will still get you the same results. You will end up with only the channels you want to see in the Guide. You can also set up different users and the Guide will follow the user if you decide to watch on multiple TVs. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

You can also change the setting for the Favorites guide to be the default so that you don't have to flip over to it each time you come back to turn on the TV. So, it does work. The only downside is that you then can't have only a few "favorites" since you take up that function with the broader group of every channel you receive.
