COX WEBMAIL
When I try to compose an e-mail using the HTML editor, I get the message "ERROR unable to initialize applet". Then I click "OK" and then it says "unable to get HTML message". How do I fix this?

The HTML editor uses a Java applet (small program) to run inside your browser, kind of like how Youtube uses flash to play video. Try this test to see if you have the latest version of Java.
I ran the test and I DO have the latest version of Java. I have no old versions on my computer. I tried using the HTLM editor to compose an e-mail using Cox webmail and it still says "unable to initialize applet". Java is enabled on my browsers. I tried to compose an e-mail using internet explorer, Firefox and Chrome. I get the same error message in all three. Any ideas?
Nothing solid comes to mind. Try disabling your Antivirus? Delete temp files and cookies and reboot? But all these are pretty cliche answers. I also found this, although its a little technical, and a few sites like this, although Im not sure how secure they are. Maybe the site is running a older version.
You can also try enhanced webmail. That uses flash so it wouldn't give you the same problem. Different look and feel though.
